Edward Hr. Raczynski - Cabinet of Polish Medals Medals from the Reign of John III No. 195 Head of John III in laurel, face seen from the side, armor on the chest. Inscription: JOANNES III CORON[atus] IN REG[em] POL[oniae] ET M[agnum] D[ucem] L[ithnaniae] 2 FEB[ruarii] 1676, that is: John III crowned King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania on February 2, 1676.Reverse. A hand from the clouds showing holds on its sword three wreaths; laurel, oak and olive; above them is the Royal crown and the inscription: PER HAS AD ISTAM, that is; Through these to that one.
